Now think of that with the 351 you were talking about...
That's cool though, I would love to have a fox body project right now but that's never going to happen. Especially considering what I need and want done with my car! Can't wait to you get some work done on it.

So what are your plans?
Dragster?
Or bone stock?
Or something in between?

Aw, oh well it was worth a shot. But hey, rebuilding that engine gives you some good opportunities to upgrade it while you can.
Now thanks to you I'm going to get lost on Craigslist looking at Fox body's for the next hour...

Probably almost bone stock
Hopefully my neighbor's son will sell me his old 302 block that sheared a couple of pistons (nitrous, block is still intact) for around $150 including the headers, intake, heads, cam, push rods, lifters, throttle body, distributor, etc. I can get it bored .030 over (pistons scraped cylinder walls) and get 306 pistons for $140 /set of 8
I can also get some GT40 heads for $80 / pair and an Explorer intake for $40... probably an off the shelf cam too!
So around $600 I could have a running 306 making around 285 RWHP and around 350 RWTQ! Now, to fix all the other shit... tires, top (it's a 'vert), subframe connectors, gaskets, etc...
total will probably be around $1k and I might be able to keep it ;) Grandpa is financing the project (it is his car afterall) so all is good!

SHUT UP JACOB
I have a line on a 302 that sheared a couple of pistons (nitrous)... block is still good and includes all accessories. It just needs to be bored over and get new pistons!
Total will hopefully be around $1k total for everything
